An Ounce of Prevention.....
If you work in an office and use a computer, then you must take precautions to reduce the strain on your muscles. Have an expert in ergonomics evaluate your office and adjust the height of your monitor so that you are not straining your neck. Wear wrist supports to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. If you use a mouse, try placing the mouse pad on a firm surface (e.g. a thin block of wood) on your lab. By using the mouse in this position, it will minimize the stress on your shoulder muscles (discovered by Robert Grenetz, husband of a fibromyalgia patient).
