Many FMS patients have dry eye syndrome. Artificial tears may provide temporary relief. However, there are tiny plugs that an ophthalmologist can insert into the tear drainage ducts so that they eyes stay moist. For more information, go to http://www.dryeye.org/index.htm. I had it done in August and this was the first summer that I didn't get keratitis (a nasty, painful eye inflammation).
