I was amused at your comment that only your husband and
Psych. believed that you are not an addict. I too,
suffer from long term chronic pain from fibro. so does
my daughter. She unfortunatly has Lupus as well. We're
told there is no genetic link in these diseases..
right. back to the point I take a plethora of meds
to survive the days. some days I can get by on just a
few. other days I feel like the whole bottle will not
relieve the pain. I finally consulted some pain
specialists and found a terrific Rheumatologist. I
was told that so long as I stay within the limits of
my prescrivbed amounts and do not take more than
I need to stop the pain I will not become an addict. A
friend of mine has the trigger point injections. He
found relief, ephemeral however. He is now useing
patches of lidacane ( I hope I spelled that correctly)
He finds those to be quite helpful. My pain is not as
localized as his unfortunatley. I', afraid I would haveto wrap myself like a mummy in patches! good luck
and God bless you in your search for relief. I also
use western meditation to help with my pain and
stress.
Beny
