I have a terrible problem with dry mouth. I play the oboe professionally and I need saliva to play. I take 50 mg of amitriptolene every night to sleep and I'm told that is what is causing my dry mouth. The rheumatologist that I was seeing prescribed Salogen and it works very well. Unfortunately, it is not an inexpensive drug. I only took it when I was getting ready to play a rehearsal or concert. I need a refill, but am uninsured right now and I don't want to have to pay for an office visit. Does anyone else have this problem as a result of amitriptolene? It really does work well to give me a good night's sleep, but this side effect is terrible. I would be interested in hearing back from any of you that take this drug and the same thing happens to you.
: : : My D.D.S. ask me if I had been suffering from dry mouth?
: : : I have heard that is another symptom of Fibromyalgia?
: : : Could some one give me some information about that.
