What type of doctor is he? Is he a specialist? You need to find a doctor who knows how to treat FM. Any fear, doubt or other stress that you are experiencing about your FM will only make it worse. FM can be controlled and you can lead a productive life but it's going to take some trial and error before you find the right combination that will work for YOU. Each of us with FM responds differently to drugs, therapy and the environment. Also, you will have to learn how to recognize your limits and how to say, "No" when someone tells you to do something that you know you can't do. You know your body better than any doctor in the world. The trick is to learn how to communicate how you feel to the right doctor so that he or she can help to find what will help you. Don't give up -- we are always here for you.

: : : : : doctor sent me to one for shoulder it got better, but this is different, i have still wednesday to decide. ask doctor about massage therapist he said sometimes they get to rough. thinking i will find new doctor. if he does not believe in fm, neither will therapist.

: iwould love to send the doctor to your forum,will try. i am so confused he is the one that said i have fibromyalgia but when i have gone back to him. he seems very unconcerned maybe because he is uneducated on the subject i dont know. i do not want to get worse i need to bad to work for awhile longer. i will hold off on physical therapist until after christmas. thank you so much for your help, brenda
