dr.albert, i was just diagnosed with fms this past week
i too have vertigo. this is all so strange. i have
lived with pain for years, thought it was from variuos
injuries but now i believe that was only part of it.
i have other health issues at this time in my life
as well, chronic fatigue, fatty liver and a sliding
hiatal hernia. i just can't see getting to feel better.
i am thankful they ruled out lupus and cancer thus far.
but i can't help feeling blue at times for having to
deal with this and not having the energy to be as
strict on my diet as i need to. i just feel like giving
in to it all but that only makes it all worst. help!

: There is an area on my left side right beneath the bottom of my shoulder blade that, whenever I get a bad spasm there, I get vertigo. I mentioned this to other fibro patients and several have the same response. If this is what you are experiencing, then taking medication for vertigo is useless. Most doctors are quick to prescribe drugs to treat "symptoms" instead of dealing with the root of the problem. I hope you have a good Chiropractor. If you don't, then please get one. Also, surgery is a last resort when the patient will actually benefit from the surgical procedure. Always get a second and even a third opinion before having surgery.
